Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Detlo collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Detlo provides booking and business-management software for independent car detailers (“Detailers”).

1. Information we collect

  • Account information you give us as a Detailer: your name, email address, phone number, business name, and location.
  • Booking datacreated through Detlo: your customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, service addresses, vehicle details, appointment dates and times, and any notes — entered by you or submitted by your customers on your booking page.
  • Technical data: basic log and device information, and cookies needed to keep you signed in and the service secure.

2. How we use information

  • To provide the core service — creating and managing bookings, schedules, and clients;
  • To send transactional messages on your behalf, such as booking confirmations, reminders, and review requests to your customers, and notifications to you;
  • To provide support, keep the service secure, and improve how Detlo works.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your customers' data for advertising.

3. Legal bases

Where data-protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we process information to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests in operating and improving Detlo, to comply with legal obligations, and — where required — with consent.

4. Service providers we share with

We share information only with the providers that help us run Detlo, and only as needed:

  • Twilio — sending and receiving SMS messages;
  • Resend — sending transactional email;
  • Google Maps — validating addresses and calculating travel distance;
  • Supabase — secure database hosting and authentication.

5. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you close your account, we permanently delete your account and business data — including your customers' booking data — within 7 days.

We may retain a limited set of records for longer where the law requires it (for example, billing and tax records), and we may keep anonymized, non-identifying information.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email support@detlo.app and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

7. Your customers’ data

When a Detailer collects information about their own customers through Detlo, the Detailer is the “controller” of that data and Detlo is the “processor” that handles it on their behalf. If you're a customer of a Detailer and want your information accessed or removed, please contact that Detailer directly — we'll help them fulfil your request.

8. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, authenticated access, and database row-level security so each Detailer can only reach their own records. No system is ever completely secure, but we work continuously to keep your information safe.

9. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to sign you in and keep the service working and secure. We don't use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

10. International processing

Detlo and its providers may process your information in countries other than your own. When we do, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect it.

11. Children

Detlo is for business use by adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll let you know, and we'll always show the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
